King Fahd Chair of Islamic Studies at London University organized here yesterday a symposium on dialogue between religions and civilizations. At the beginning of the event, Dr. Mohammed Abdulhaleem said that inter-faith dialogue has enjoyed an enormous interest and support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz who called for the World Conference on Dialogue held in Madrid in 2008. Dr. Abdulhaleem described the call as a new breakthrough in the history of inter-faith dialogue. Dr. Ahmed Al-Dabian, Director General of the Islamic Center in London, delivered a speech in which he talked about the history of dialogue among world great religions. He also stressed the Kingdom's interest in spreading tolerance and understanding between followers of world faiths emphasizing the importance of the call made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
