6 die, 6 hurt in Russian gas explosion

A natural gas explosion ripped
through an apartment building in a far eastern Russian village, killing
at least six people, UPI cited authorities as announcing today.
Six other people were reported injured in the blast, which occurred
in a two-story building with six apartments about early today
in Vozdvizhenka, ITAR-TASS reported.
An official said it was suspected that gas cylinders detonated in
one of the apartments.
