At least five people died in a gas explosion in an apartment building in Priyutovo, Russia, UPI quoted officials as saying Saturday. A household gas cylinder, being used to install ceilings, exploded in a 16-apartment, two-story building in the village of Priyutovo, RIA Novosti reported. A preliminary investigation indicated the explosion was caused by improper operation of the gas equipment. Two workers were killed in the blast, along with a child, a woman and a man who lived in the building, officials said. Three other people were injured and taken to a hospital, RIA Novosti said.
