Minister of Trade and Industry Yahya al-Mutawakel held talks on Tuesday with Italian Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Stefania Craxi over mutual trade cooperation between the two countries, according to Saba. The two officials highlighted good level of the trade exchanging between the two countries during the previous period, pointing out to the possibilities of extending the commercial cooperation. They also discussed steps taken to access into the world trade organization and support of the Italian site in this regard. Al-Mutawakel expressed hope to reach bilateral agreement with Italy related to Yemen's accession into the international organization. The Italian official said she would support strongly efforts of Yemen to the WTO, pointing out to the importance of existing big economic cooperation between the two countries.
