Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al Mutawakel held talks Sunday evening with a World Bank delegation, visiting currently Yemen, on technical aids offered by WB to support trade sector in Yemen, SABA reported. The talks dealt with Yemen seek to accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in addition to possibilities of the bank to make a strategic study to merge Yemen's economy with the region economies, especially with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Great Arab Free Trade Zone, Sana'a Forum countries. The Minister acquainted the delegation good steps taken by Yemen to join WTO and its efforts to meet laws and regulations in all fields with demands of the accession. Al-Mutawakel said that Yemen's accession to a multi-parties trade system would contribute to facilitate merging the Yemeni economy into the world economy and come out positive outputs to realize efforts in economic and social development.
