A number of Muslim Muftis have commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, expressing their great appreciation of the King for his initiatives to reform the situations of Islamic nations. In statements upon departure for their countries after having participated in the World Conference of Fatwa (Religious Rule) and its Conditions held in Makkah on 20-23/1/1430H under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and organized by Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Academy, an affiliate of the Muslim World League, the Muftis lauded the King's speech during an audience with them at his palace last Wednesday in which the King said the results of the Conference which focused on the importance of Fatwa (Religious Rule) and the role of Muftis in Islamic nation will be given due attention at next Islamic Summit Conference. They praised the King's initiative in announcing a donation of $ 1 billion for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. The muftis included the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sheikh Mustafa Tseric; Lebanon's Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani; Egypt's Mufti Sheikh Ali Jomaa; and Uzbekistan's Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Sadik Mohammad Yousuf.
