Several Muftis have commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, expressing their great appreciation of the King for his initiatives to reform the situations in Islamic nations. In statements issued here after participating in the world conference of Fatwa (religious rule) and its conditions organized by Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Academy, an affiliate of the Muslim World League, the Muftis lauded the King's address to them at his palace on Wednesday in which the King said the results of the conference will be given due attention at the next Islamic summit conference. The Muftis also praised the King's initiative in announcing a donation of $1 billion for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Sheikh Mustafa Tseric, Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani, Lebanon's Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ali Jomaa of Egypt and Sheikh Muhammad Sadik Muhammad Yousuf of Uzbekistan were among those issuing statements.
