The Organization of the Islamic Conference launched today a land bridge of seven trucks laden with more than 170 tons. The trucks, which were headed to Gaza, carried all crucial requirements starting from to medical supplies, blankets, food as well as power generators. OIC's Secretary-General, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, who saw off the convoy, said that, "Other convoys will follow", calling upon all Member States, civil society organizations as well as businessmen to take part in this relief campaign. The OIC's relief campaign is organized in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent.
