Areesh, Egypt, January 01, SPA -- A Saudi air ambulance left Al-Areesh airport tonight carrying nine injured Palestinians, the first batch of medical-treatment-seekers in Saudi hospitals, officials said. Dr. Khalid Al-Habashi, leader of the Saudi medical team accompanying the injured, said the injuries of the patients vary, noting that this is the first batch within an airlift ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He added that the plane is fully equipped with a specialized medical team on board. On their part, relatives of the patients accompanying them during the trip expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two holy Mosques for his directives to have them treated in Saudi advanced hospitals. The trip was arranged through coordination with the Egyptian authorities.
