The Muslim World League (MWL) has urged the Muslims to learn lessons from the Hegira (immigration) of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be upon Him) from Makkah to Madinah. In a statement issued today, MWL Secretary General Dr Abdullah al-Turki called on the Muslims to unite their ranks and to work jointly for confronting the challenges facing the Muslim nation. In his statement issued on the occasion of the new hegira year, he asked the Muslim governments and nations to adhere to the teachings of Allah Almighty and to apply the Islamic Shariah.
