Learn lessons from the Hijra (immigration) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Makkah to Madina, the Makkah based Muslim World League said Sunday. Dr. Abdullah Abdul Muhsin Al-Turki, secretary general of the MWL, called on Muslims to unite and work collectively to confront the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah. He called upon all Muslim governments and communities to adhere to the teachings of Allah Almighty and to implement the Shariah. Dr. Al-Turki urged the people of Iraq to set aside sectarian divisions and work on building their country. While expressing grief over Israel's aggression against Palestinians, he appealed for extending support to the people living in Gaza. He called on Somalia to solve its internal problems and confront the menace of piracy. The MWL chief also highlighted the importance of studying and benefitting from the life history of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
