A conference on the latest developments in cardiology and treatment was opened in Sohar Hospital under the auspices of Dr Ali Bin Jaafar Bin Mohammed, Adviser to the Omani Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, on Thursday. Several reputed cardiologists, working in the Sultanate, delivered lectures during the conference. Dr Marea Bin Hassan Bin Eisha, Head of Internal Medicine Department at Sohar Hospital, said that the conference is part of the activities organized by the hospital in different specialties to keep physicians aware of the latest developments in the field, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported. Addressing the conference, Dr Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Riyami, Chairman of the Omani Cardiology Association, said the symposium was part of a series of conferences that would be held in different parts of the Sultanate. The conference covered nine working papers on heart-related issues, including diagnosis and treatment of CVA, re-pumping blood after cardiac stroke, cardiac resuscitation, and time of cardiac intervention, methods of treating cardiopathy, treatment for ventricular tachycardia and modern treatments for pulmonary stroke.
