The Speakers of Shoura Councils and Parliaments of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held here today a consultative meeting. The meeting was attended by GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah. The meeting comes ahead of the opening session of the second periodic meeting of the speakers of GCC Shoura Councils and Parliaments. During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest in various political and economic fields at regional and international levels were discussed. The meeting also discussed ways of enhancing cooperation among GCC Shoura Councils and Parliaments. The Kingdom's delegation to the meeting was led by Shoura Council Chairman Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Homaid. The Saudi Shoura Council Chairman attended yesterday evening a dinner party held in his honor by Saudi Ambassador to Oman Abdulaziz Al-Turky. The party was attended by a number of officials.
