The Internal Information Department of the Branch of Ministry of Culture and Information in Jeddah has destroyed large quantities of counterfeit and copied materials including tens of thousands of tapes, CDs, films, videos and some equipment during the past three days. The Director General of Internal Information Department in Makkah Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Ghamdi stressed the Ministry's keenness on prosecuting violators of the regulation of publishing and copyright protection and on preventing them from practising piracy, counterfeiting, copying and fraud.
