An estimated 10 million items infringing copyright laws are being destroyed in Riyadh, Sunday. Compact discs and cassette and video tapes containing films, music, and video games were among the confiscated material. A Ministry of Information and Culture official said destruction of confiscated items is carried out from time to time. “The most recent raid was in the south of Riyadh and we confiscated more than 800,000 banned items,” the official said.
