At least eight Qassam rockets were fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip on Sunday by members of the Palestinian organization "Islamic Jihad", an Israeli military spokesman in Tel Aviv reported. According to the report, one rocket made a direct hit on a house in the Israeli town of Sderot near the border with the Strip and a foreign worker was injured by a mortar round that landed in a field, DPA reported. Israeli radio also reported that an Israeli military helicopter struck a target east of Gaza town of Jebalia. There was no immediate confirmation from the Israeli military.
