The executive council of the Arab League's Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALESCO) started here today its 88 session at ALECSO's headquarters in Tunis with attendance of the representatives of the member states, including Saudi Arabia, represented by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Development Dr. Naif bin Hishal Al-Roumi. During the three-day session, The Council will review several topics relating to administrative and financial issues. The Council will also review a number of major issues pertaining to to (Al-Quds) Jerusalem, the educational and scientific situation in Palestine, means for supporting the educational institutions in Djibouti, Somalia, the Republic of the Comoros, Sudan, Iraq and the Golan Heights.
