The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged pilgrims not to use cooking liquefied petroleum gas cylinders in the holy sites as they pose serious dangers threatening the safety of pilgrims. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Commander of Civil Defense Forces in Hajj Major General Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amr said, "There is coordination with the security bodies to prevent access of cooking liquefied petroleum gas cylinders to the holy sites. Safety Teams affiliated to Civil Defense in Hajj are making inspection tours of tents to ensure that they are free of such gas cylinders, arrest violators, confiscate gas cylinders and pose necessary sanctions".
