Prince Khalid al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah region and President of the Arab Thought Foundation, has awarded Arab Innovation Prizes at the end of the activities of the 7th annual conference of the Arab Thought Foundation. The four-day conference was attended by a number of intellectuals, thinkers and academicians from various parts of the Arab world. The prize of technological innovation was awarded to Dr Fawaz bin Taiseer al-Alabi, an American of Syrian origin. Currently, he works as the Under Secretary of King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology. The Christian Youth Society in Palestine obtained the prize of economic innovation, while the prize of social innovation was awarded to the project of Family Library which was established in 1991. The prize of the media innovation was awarded to MBC satellite station. The prize of the literary innovation was awarded to Sumeiha Khuries from Jordan, while Adel Imam from Egypt was awarded the prize of arts innovation.
