OIC's Permanent Finance Committee (PFC) is currently holding its 37th Session in Jeddah. The Committee is scheduled to conclude its three-day deliberations tomorrow. A pool of delegates from member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and OIC subsidiary organs are attending the PFC session, which began on Monday, according to a press release of the OIC. At the opening ceremony, the Secretary General, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, delivered a speech at the beginning of which he extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the material and moral support provided to the OIC. Saudi support, the Secretary General pointed out, has enabled the OIC to conduct its works in an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony.
