Qa'dah 16, 1431, Oct 24, 2010, SPA -- The 27th Session of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Centre for the Development of Trade (ICDT) was held recently in Casablanca. The two-day session, which ended its deliberations on October 22 was addressed by representatives of King Mohamed VI of Morocco, and Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) respectively. It was also attended by delegates from OIC Member States and Institutions, according to a press release of the OIC issued here yesterday. In his address before the session, the OIC Secretary General underscored the overarching objective of poverty alleviation as a permanent agenda item for economic and commercial cooperation among the OIC Member States. --MORE
