Kuwait's Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union (EU) Nabila Al-Mullah stressed that her country is keen on participating in all Arab cultural events, KUNA reported today. Al-Mullah's statement came during an interview with KUNA on the sidelines of a gathering she held Wednesday evening in honor of Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, European Parliament President Hans-Gert Pottering, and delegations participating in the European Parliament's Arab Week. The ambassador said it was an honor for Kuwait, as the head of the Arab Interim Parliament (AIP), to take part in the activities of the Arab Week. Al-Mullah, who is dean of Arab ambassadors in Belgium, said that the Arab Week witnessed great acceptance by Arabs and Europeans here. The event included lectures, discussions, photography and Islamic arts exhibitions, and music shows, she added. On Thursday, the last day of the Arab Week, two sessions will be held on women in the Arab world and the role of the EU in stressing dialogue among cultures in the Mediterranean, in addition to an exhibition of the works of Saudi artists.
