Presided over by its chairman Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council held its ordinary 48th session in Riyadh today. At the outset of the meeting, the Council commended the issuance of directives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to deposit SR 10 billion in the account of Saudi Bank of Credit and Saving to enable the Bank to meet the needs of citizens eligible for borrowing from the bank and that this amount along with the current resources of the bank be allocated for social loans including loans provided for marriage, family and restoration of houses. In a statement at the outset of the meeting, the chairman of the Council said this generous gesture is not unusual of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz who is keen on meeting the needs of the homeland and citizens in view of these changes. The chairman said the wise leadership follows up the affairs of the citizens to ensure honorable living for them especially those citizens of limited income who will benefit from this generous gesture. --More
