King Juan Carlos the First of Spain received at the royal palace in Madrid today visiting Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah who is taking part in the GCC cultural days, currently on going in Spain. During the meeting, ties of friendship between the GCC member states and Spain in addition to the positive outcome of the international conference on dialogue among religions held in Madrid in mid-July were discussed. The two sides confirmed the success of the conference in activating a serious dialogue among religions, civilizations and cultures. The meeting was attended by Miguel Angel MORATINOS, Spain's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation; and Mohammed Al-Naimi, Charge d'Affaires in Madrid of Qatar, which holds the current GCC rotating presidency.
