Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, Member of the Trustees Council and Head of the Eastern Mediterranean Bureau of the (International) Agency for Combating Trachoma (EMBACT) and Head of the National Committee for Combating Blindness, stressed that pioneering role of EMBACT at the international level in combating visual impairment is due to the grace of God and then to directives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and the unlimited support by the Ministry of Health. The remarks came in his speech during his participation in the annual ceremony held by the World Health Organization in the Eastern Mediterranean Region yesterday on the occasion of the World Vision Day 2008 in Cairo. In the speech, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the importance of the International Initiative to combat blindness and the World Vision Day.
