THE APPROVAL BY THE COUNCIL CAME AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 31ST ORDINARY SESSION OF THE ARAB HEALTH MINISTERS IN ALGIERS IN RESPONSE TO A DEMAND BY PRINCE ABDULAZIZ BIN AHMED BIN ABDULAZIZ, PRESIDENT OF THE SAUDI ARABIAN OPHTHALMOLOGY ASSOCIATION, AND PRESIDENT OF EAST MEDITERRANEAN BUREAU OF THE INTERNATIONAL AGENCY FOR COMBATING TRACHOMA (EMBACT), IN HIS ADDRESS TO THE MEETING. PRINCE ABDULAZIZ BRIEFED THE ARAB HEALTH MINISTERS COUNCIL MEETING ON THE ACTIVITIES OF EMBACT IN COMBATING BLINDNESS IN THE REGION.
