Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi met the Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahayan on the sidelines of the 63rd Session of the UN General Assembly in New York Sunday, APP reported. Foreign Minister Qureshi thanked the UAE Foreign Minister for participating in the meeting of Friends of Pakistan in New York and for offering to host the next meeting in UAE. He informed his UAE counterpart that the purpose of setting up this group was to create global ownership of the problem of terrorism and extremism confronting the region. The period before the next session, he stressed, should be utilized to create the structures and modalities to gain maximum benefit from the initiative.
