The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu condemned the terrorist act that occurred in Sana'a, Yemen, on 17th September 2008, killing and wounding a number of military personnel and civilians. Prof. Ihsanoglu reiterated the OIC's position that rejects inhuman terrorist attacks, noting such criminal acts run counter to the teachings of Islamic tolerance. He conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Yemen, wishing for the Yemeni leadership and people safety and prosperity.
