Yemen and UNICEF discussed here on Wednesday the current arrangements for holding the ministerial meeting of the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa in Sana'a on October 17 – 19, Saba reported. Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a, during his meeting with UNICEF representative in Yemen Aboudou Karimu Adjibade, affirmed the importance of holding the current session in Sana'a. He also stressed the ministry's keenness on providing various forms of support to make the meeting successful. The aim of the meeting is to develop a strategy and future plans to speed up achieving the millennium goals, particularly the fourth and fifth goals related to reducing the mortality rates of children and mothers. Morocco, Djibouti, Jordan, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia and Egypt will take part in the meeting in addition to a number of international organizations.
