The 15-nation euro slipped slightly Thursday against the U.S. dollar, giving back some of the gains it has made in recent days amid Wall Street woes, the Associated Press reported. The currency bought US$1.4340 in morning trading, down slightly from US$1.4376 late in New York on Wednesday. The British pound dipped to US$1.8110 from US$1.8245 the evening before, while the dollar rose to purchase 105.45 yen from 105.24 in New York.
