Minister of Transport Khalid al-Wazir said that results of the consultative meeting which was held on Friday in London at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on the problem of marine piracy on the Somali seashores will help to solve problem. In a statement to Saba, he said on Saturday that this comes as a reflection of concern of President Ali Abdullah Saleh in this regard. The meeting discussed the continuous incidents of maritime piracy and theft against ships. The results focused on signing two MOU drafts between countries of the west region of the Indian Ocean, and Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea area on eliminating marine piracy to be conducted during the related conference which will be held in Sana'a during October 27-30.
