Russia is ready to sign friendship and mutual assistance treaties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia next week, Itar-Tass quoted Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko as stating today. The diplomat assured that the treaties would be signed shortly. "Perhaps in the beginning of next week," Nesterenko said adding that the documents had been largely completed by all the parties: Russia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. "At present, some wordings are being finalized. It's technical work, but, on the whole, the documents are ready for signing at top level," Nesterenko said.
