US dollar up in Europe

The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against
other major currencies in European trading Thursday
morning. Gold fell.
The euro traded at US$1.39025, down from US$1.4033 late
Wednesday in New York.

_1.0762 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0696
The British pound was quoted at US$1.7460, down from
$1.7560.
Gold traded in London at US$742.75 per troy ounce, down
from US$775.75 late Wednesday.
