U.S dollar mostly up, gold down in European trading

The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against
other major currencies in European trading Wednesday. Gold
fell, according to AP.
The euro traded at US$1.4760, down from US$1.4841 late
Tuesday in New York.

_109.94 Japanese yen, up from 108.59
_1.1170 Swiss francs, up from 1.1043
_0.9914 Canadian dollars, down from 0.9958
The British pound was quoted at US$2.0707, up from
$2.0687.
Gold traded in London at US$797.20 per troy ounce, down
from US$811.50 late Tuesday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$800.60 bid per troy ounce,
down from US$812.60.
Silver traded in London at US$14.26, down from US$14.38.
