US dollar mostly higher, gold down in European trading

The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against
other major currencies in late European trading Wednesday.
Gold fell, according to AP.
The euro traded at US$1.4721, down from US$1.4833 late
Tuesday in New York.

_1.0239 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0165
The British pound was quoted at US$1.9658, up from
$1.9644.
Gold traded in London at US$876.10 per troy ounce, down
from US$909.40 late Tuesday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$876.25 bid per troy ounce,
down from US$908.10.
Silver closed in London at US$15.73, down from US$16.37.
