The euro was higher against the U.S. dollar Monday, the Associated Press reported. The 15-nation euro bought US$1.4322 in European morning trading, up from the US$1.4243 in late New York trading Friday. In other currencies, the British pound rose to US$1.7794 from US$1.7690 on Friday, while the dollar bought 108.44 Japanese yen, up from 107.72 yen late in New York.
