Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan

A Canadian soldier has been killed and seven others have been wounded in a roadside bomb attack in southern Afghanistan.
Maj.-Gen. Denis Thompson says that Sgt. Scott Shipway, an infantryman, was killed Sunday morning in the Panjwaii district in southern Kandahar province.
