A roadside bomb exploded in southern Afghanistan, killing a Canadian soldier and wounding four others, the Canadian Department of National Defense said in a statement. The soldiers were patrolling inside an armored vehicle Sunday when the bomb exploded near them in Shah Wali Kot district of Kandahar province, the statement was quoted as saying by Associated Press.
