49 killed, 342 injured in traffic accidents in Yemen last week

49 people have been killed and 342 injured, some seriously, in 284 traffic accidents across the republic during the first days of Ramadan, Saba reported.
A report issued by the Yemeni Traffic Police Authority noted that the accidents included 130 crashes, 116 running-over accidents and 36 overturned-car accidents.
Material casualties caused by these accidents were estimated at YR 51.4 million, the report said.
Main reasons behind the accidents as the report says were driver negligence, high speed and car technical faults.
