Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said Pakistan is a fore-runner state in the war against terrorism, adding it was a dire need of the time to confront the worst threats before they emerge. “The war on terror cannot be won on defensive. We have to take the battle to the doorsteps of the extremists,” the Prime Minister said while addressing at the graduating ceremony of Crisis Response Team course, APP reported. The course exclusive for the women police officials was conducted by Ministry of Interior in collaboration with U.S. Department of State under its Diplomatic Security Services, Anti-Terrorism Assistance Programme. Prime Minister Gilani said war on terror was Pakistan's own war which it was facing unprecedently. “We are not being attacked by any outside military or a known army. Our enemy lurks silently within our society. This is our own war,” he said. Gilani said there was a need to be on watch all the time and try to recognize the enemy. He urged every Pakistani to rise to the occasion and do his part in this battle.
