Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said here Sunday that regional problems should be solved by regional states themselves, IRNA reported. Movsisiyan, telling Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki that Tehran-Yerevan ties serve both sides' interests, hailed Iran as a country with an `undeniable' role in regional arrangements. He hoped that during upcoming visit of Armenian foreign minister to Tehran, Iran and Armenia will strive to work out a mechanism for drawing necessary strategies for more consultations between Iran and the Caucasus states. Mottaki said Caucasus is a region of high significance and Iran and Armenia can in cooperation with other regional states reach a formula for restoration of peace and stability there. He said holding meetings to pool regional states' views in connection with regional issues will be helpful.
