Spanish authorities say a small bomb has exploded on a tourist beach in Guadalmar on the southern Costa del Sol following a warning call, causing no injuries and little damage, AP reported. A caller who said he spoke in the name of the Basque separatist group ETA warned fire services in nearby Benalmadena that three bombs would explode, the Interior Ministry says Sunday. The caller said bombs were placed in Guadalmar, Benalmadena and on a highway linking Malaga to its international airport, a ministry spokeswoman told The Associated Press. She spoke on condition of anonymity in keeping with ministry rules.
