A small explosive device detonated Sunday on a highway in northern Spain after a warning call by the Basque separatist group ETA, the Interior Ministry said. No one was injured, according to AP. The explosion occurred on the AP-68 highway near the town of Fuenmayor in the Rioja region, some 300 kilometers (185 miles) north of Madrid. The highway had been closed beforehand and no material damage was reported, the ministry added. Four other highways were also partly closed because of bomb threats in different parts in northern Spain after telephone warnings to the Basque emergency service DYA. The anonymous caller said the bombs were going to explode between 2 p.m. (1200 GMT) and 5 p.m. (1500 GMT). For the moment no explosives have been found on these highways, officials said.
