Suspected terrorists of the armed Basque separatist group ETA bombed the party offices of the Spanish Socialists in the Basque region, the Basque Interior Ministry said Tuesday, according to DPA. Nobody was injured, but the bomb attack caused serious material damage, according to the ministry. The bomb detonated on Monday evening during the television address by Spanish King Juan Carlos. In his speech the monarch called on the Spanish to unite in their fight against terrorism. Just before the bomb detonated, a telephone caller warned of the attack. However, he did not say at which of the town's two Socialist party offices the bomb was to explode. The police evacuated both buildings in a precautionary measure.
