Yemen and the UNICEF discussed on Wednesday cooperation horizons to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, Saba reported. The deputy speaker of the parliament Mohammed al-Shadadi held talks here with deputy representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Sana'a Anne Mari on the future activities that could be held by UNICEF in cooperation with the parliament. Al-Shadadi said that the parliament has passed a number of legislations concerning women, children, health and education. The UNICEF official voiced the organization's desire to enhance partnership with the parliament by carrying out some activities related to childhood, highlighting the current preparation for organizing a regional event next October in Sana'a. She called on gaining advantages from the outcomes of this event in the legislative field.
