The Saudi medical team affiliated to Prince Sultan Cardiac Centre has performed heart surgeries for Yemeni children at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Sanaa, Yemen. The number of operations performed by the team until today has reached 140 surgeries. All of these surgeries were successful. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Team's Leader Dr. Howaida Bint Obeid Al-Quthami said that the operations varied between surgery and catheter for children with complex congenital malformations. She also pointed out that most children who underwent operations left the hospital in good condition. She expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, for sending the medical team to Yemen to conduct these operations.
