Syrian Culture Minister Dr. Riyad Nasan Agha has welcomed the participation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the 24th International Book Fair which lasts 15 days in Damascus. The Syrian Minister said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency "We are one people and one family, I am very happy over this brotherly attendance between us and our families from Saudi Arabia", praising the relations between the two countries in all fields. For his part, the Saudi cultural attaché in Damascus Moneea Al-Motairi said that the Kingdom's participation in the book fairs is always distinguished. He pointed out that the book has a role in educating citizens and the dissemination of other civilizations, praising the official Saudi support for publishing houses whether in public or private sector.
