UAE General Authority for Civil Aviation has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria in Abu Dhabi to increase number of air trips between the two countries, WAM reported. Captain Ayesha Al Hamili, head of the air transportation section at the general authority, signed on behalf of the UAE, while Dr Ay Kabour, director of Air Transportation in Nigeria, signed on behalf of the Nigerian Transport Ministry. The two parties agreed that the UAE national carriers: Emirates Airline, Etihad Airline and Arabia Airline will increase flights to Abuja, Lagos and Kano. They also agreed to optimize cooperation between the UAE and Nigeria in fields related to aviation, among others, training of Nigerian staff in airport management operations, security and safety.
