Medview Airlines, one of Nigeria's leading charter operators, has signed an agreement with Saudia Cargo as its GSA for air freighting of goods between Nigeria and Jeddah. “By this agreement, Medview has the sole responsibility of generating business for Saudia Cargo, which is a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Airlines, the Kingdom's national carrier,” said David Babatunde, general manager of Medview, who received the airline's inaugural flight to Lagos last week. In information made available to Saudi Gazette here, Babatunde said that Medview was chosen because of its strong track record in transporting Muslim pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. According to him, the agreement between the two companies will enable Medview to generate markets for the Saudi company in Nigeria. He said the agreement covered the airline's flights into Lagos and Abuja, while flights from Kano would be handled by a separate company. “Medview has over 30 years of experience in the commercial airline business. By this agreement, Medview will source cargo in Nigeria for Saudia Cargo in Lagos and Abuja,” Babatunde added.
