The Civil Aviation Authorities of the UAE and Bahrain have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates and Captain Abdulrahman Al Goud, Under-Secretary of Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The objectives of the MoU are to promote mutual acceptance of approval of aircraft maintenance organizations, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". The MoU was signed on the occasion of Bahrain Airshow 2012, during which Al Suwaidi met with a number of civil aviation directors. The second edition of the biennial Bahrain International Air Show 2012 (BIAS 2012) was held at the Sakhir Air Base on January 19, and concluded last Saturday. It showcased more than 80 aircraft to an audience of 50,000 people.
